Cancelled Meeting

 The January Meeting has been CANCELLED due to flooding of most Roads that Members would

have traveled on.

On February 12 th  is The Second Anniversary of  The St John's Cathedral Brisbane, Forced

Adoption Apology Service And celebration, please join us again  at 12/15 for the 12/30 service

where there will be a mention of Forced Adoption Apology. For more information please contact

If you  have a VETO are you prepared  to ASK your Candidate what he plans to do to help get rid of

this  Cruel, Inhumane, piece of legislation, replacing it with an AVO, Apprehended Violence Order,

where at least the person placing the Veto can stand up in Court & say what you have wrong.
 
You may need to Educate your local member of what a Veto is & how it affects your life!

I hope 2015 is the best year we've ever seen.

Our first Meeting for 2015 will be on Saturday 24 th January 12 pm at

 East Leagues Club, 40 Main Avenue, Coorparoo

 every one is responsible for paying their own meals & drinks.

2015 the Adoption  Law Review should take place, every one with a veto should try & attend a

meeting so we can plan a course of action to have Veto's Abolished.NOW is the time to Speak UP!

Thank you, to every one who came to the unveiling of the Forced Adoption Apology Plaque at Roma

Street Parklands, the day was really good the storms held off til most of us were home, the

refreshments were nice, Thank you Rhonda for the lovely photos you took on my camera i will try &

get them developed before Saturday's lunch.The Roses looked good planted at the head of the Plaque,

 when they are blooming it will be worthwhile having a picnic / meeting there.

Invitation to the unveiling of plaque for Queensland Apology for Forced Adoptions by Hon Tracy Davis

On 27th November 2012, Premier Campbell Newman, on behalf of the Queensland Government, delivered an Apology to survivors and their families of former Forced Adoption policies and practices. In recognition of the long-term impact on the lives and families of thousands of Queenslanders, there will be an unveiling of a commemorative plaque by the Honourable Tracy Davis, to mark the Apology's second anniversary, at the Memorial Corner at the Roma Street Parklands.
